My Brother Tom
Tom was an attorney who lived in rural Colorado with his wife Sharon and daughters Kate, Jill, and Torey.  He was a fun-loving guy who enjoyed life and lived it to the hilt.

Whenever a new fellow came to their house to take out one of his daughters, he would meet them at the door with one or more guns and inquire about their intentions relative to his daughter!  One of 'em named Jake persevered and married Kate.

He drove a rusty old GMC pickup known locally as Ol' Green.  It had a missing passenger window and holes in the floorboard big enough to see through.  Riding with Tom was an adventure!

The song you hear is Green Onions by Booker T. and the M.G.s.  Tom loved it so much that he had a tape made up with nothing but Green Onions, over and over again.  Whenever his guests became annoyed with the repetition and wanted to hear a new tune, Tom would say, "...but it's not over yet!" Tom often remarked that if he ever owned a radio station, he'd play Green Onions 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Tom passed away on January 26, 1999.   We all miss Tom a lot.
